purple dress: anthropologie
today we are celebrating our marriage of 12 years. In lieu of this I thought I would share with you my anniversary dress my husband purchased for me last year. Remember the one? (I know I promised a year ago I would post it but I forgot until now) Last year Pete planned a surprise shopping trip to a boutique style vintage shop- only the most pristine items make it in there) where I tried on everything!!!! And finally after much deliberation, selected THIS! (the label is Nicholas Ungar- if anyone has any information about N.U. I would love to know more, anyway...) I think it was the button and pleats that stole my heart! the pockets were an added bonus!
this sweater dress is just TOO short on it's own, once again the vintage slip comes in handy, and adds something interesting to an otherwise simple dress. Don't the rose tights and eyelet slip look lovely together? I also wanted to show you my favorite part of my SUPER RED coat, the collar and the buttons! They are adorable together too!

lantern sleeve turtleneck: the limited (forever ago)
dress: anthrobelt: Banana Republic outlet
boots: jcrew (similar here)
kneehighs: fred meyer
hope you're all having a dressy day!
Well, here is my dress today! Do I look tired to you? Well, I think I am mid blink here, but actually I am very tired too (I was up at 4 AM with a tummy ache and I couldn't go back to sleep, I was tossing and turning so much that I felt bad for disturbing my husbands golden slumber so I fled to the sofa- which is even more difficult to be comfortable on.) And then I was out of the house by 9 am and on and on, my day continued until now, finally I have a moment to sit (just before preparing dinner) at the computer, ahhh. So let's get down to the knitty gritty shall we? Um, still wearing my dresses... ARE YOU? There are so many casual options for a dress these days, no need to think of dresses as fancy-only (but I do so like the fancy ones!) dress: Annette B boutique
tights: target
boots: american eagle ae (like 4 years ago?)

welcome to DRESS WEEK at have a cute day!
How much do you wear dresses in your day-to-day life? Did you know it's possible to wear a dress EVERY day, even when you don't need to be dressed up for anything special? Anna and I are going to be wearing dresses EVERY SINGLE DAY this week, want to join us? We sure hope you will. And if you do, send us your cute DRESS day, we would love to post it!!(read on to see how you can benefit from doing so this week too!)

here's the evolution of this outfit, I bought these leggings at target recently- I l.o.v.e. the zippers. I knew I wanted them to be apart of my outfit so I built around them. And that's how I ended with the boots... I needed something that would show as much zipper as possible, and of course these little shorty target boots would compliment them nicely, what do you think? (the dress is fossil, the belt is gap)
